Communication Assessment

  • An initial consultation to review your child’s case history in detail takes place before the assessment.

  • In the assessment session we gather information and evaluate your child’s speech, language and communication skills.

  • We discuss results with you and agree a plan of action.

  • Sessions last about 60 - 90 minutes in the clinic, with a summary report included in the fee.

Therapy

  • Individual Planning: Therapy goals are agreed and an individualised therapy plan is developed in partnership with the parents.

  • Ongoing Therapy: Children may attend the clinic for ongoing therapy sessions, delivered in a supportive and engaging environment.

  • Flexible Frequency: The frequency of sessions is determined by the nature and extent of your child’s communication difficulties and agreed in consultation with the parents.

  • Child—Centred Approach: Therapy is tailored to the child, using play-based or more structured approaches depending on age, interests and therapy goals.

  • Review & Parent Support: Progress is reviewed regularly, goals are adapted as needed, and parents are supported with practical strategies to reinforce skills at home.

Pre-School & School Visits

  • Child-centred SLT visits and support tailored to each child’s strengths and communication profile.

  • Collaborative planning with educators and families to embed strategies into daily routines and learning.

  • We support inclusive practice, functional communication goals and staff confidence through coaching and resources.

  • Regular review and adjustment ensure ongoing progress and meaningful participation in pre-school/school settings.

Bespoke Service

  • A tailored service for children and families whose needs don’t fit standard assessment or therapy pathways.

  • We co-design an individualised plan based on your unique circumstances, strengths and priorities.

  • Flexible support formats and pacings are offered to suit your family’s routine and goals.

  • Regular review and adjustment ensure ongoing progress and meaningful participation in pre-school/school settings. Ongoing collaboration and review ensure the service evolves with your child’s progress.
